Welcome to our website. It is always being
updated, so check back often for new information
and pictures.

NEWS! We were invited by the Navy to perform for
their 232nd birthday party at the Guantanamo Bay
Naval Base in Cuba. We played several times
during the second week of October 2007 and had a
wonderful time. We were extremely impressed with
the professionalism and courtesy of everyone we
met and worked with. It was a great honor to play
for the men and women of our military.


On September 24, 2007 Doug Burns
and several members of the band had
their music featured on ESPN's
Monday Night Football.

The Doug Burns Band, and its Big Band
version FROM THE TOP, has been one the
South's most versatile and favorite dance and
party bands for over 15 years. The band is located
in Charlotte, N.C. and includes many truly
exceptional musicians. Playing concerts,
conventions, weddings, festivals and events such
as the Carolina Panther's football games, the
Charlotte Bobcat's basketball games, The Grove
Park Inn New Years Eve gala and recently being
the opening act for Wynonna Judd, we entertain
many thousands of people each year with some
of the best music you can hear anywhere.

The band plays everything from Big Band swing
or small group Jazz to Beach music, Rock, and
Dance music.  You have heard them on many
recordings such as "Carolina Girls", "I Love
Beach Music", highlight shows and theme music
for The Carolina Panthers, ACC football and TV
shows such as CBS Hallmark Hall of Fame.They
have also performed with superstars such as Ray
Charles, Aretha Franklin, The Temptations, The
Four Tops, Natalie Cole, Barry Manilow and many
others.

The Doug Burns Band will work with you to
make sure your party is a huge success. We want
